Leigh Jaffe is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from Columbia University School of Social Work and a BA from Duke University. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is currently working toward EMDRIA certification as both an EMDR therapist and consultant.
Leigh brings a diverse and rich professional background to her clinical practice. Before pursuing social work, she served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and later worked in the finance and impact-driven corporate sectors. These formative experiences inform her deep empathy and insight when supporting individuals through personal transformation and recovery.
Leigh specializes in working with adults who have experienced trauma, including survivors of domestic abuse, veterans navigating PTSD, those coping with the aftermath of violent or life-threatening events, and individuals struggling with complicated grief, substance abuse recovery or chronic self-sabotaging behaviors.
Leigh’s therapeutic approach centers on offering grounded and compassionate care rooted in evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Complicated Grief Therapy, ARC Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is known for creating a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and reconnect with their innate resilience.
