Colleen Maloney is often described by clients as warm, present, and empathetic clinician. Her style of therapy incorporates a strengths-based approach, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Narrative techniques and is informed by psychoanalysis, feminist and attachment theories. Her skills include being able to provide compassion while empowering clients to understand and help themselves. She has studied extensively on how stress and trauma affect the body and share this information with my clients. She also uses mindfulness-based tools, as well as appropriate resources in the community to help clients navigate times of difficulty. My specialties include Meditation, Breath Work and visualization as well as therapeutic somatic therapies from Yoga, Medical Qi-Gong, to Fascia Release work.
Colleen’s approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and client-centered. She honors the uniqueness of each individual and tailors treatment accordingly. Her work is informed by a deep understanding of how trauma and stress impact the nervous system, and she helps clients move toward healing through both emotional processing and body-based practices. She blends evidence-based methods with holistic tools to help clients feel more grounded, whole, and empowered.
